In this paper, we focus on how the high degree of an adjective's quality is expressed linguistically in the texts of the New Testament, that is, how the expressed quality of the adjective is semantically enhanced, thus indicating the emotional involvement and attitude of the speaker towards their saying or towards the utterance of their interlocutor. Specifically, we examine the linguistic elements carriers of intensity, i.e. morphological or syntactic processes and lexical choices.
